No running for me yesterday! Now that you all convinced me in my last post that I’m not crazy, I’ve decided I’m going to do my best to enjoy this taper. Tuesday night I did an easy three miles on the treadmill at 9:00 pace and I’ll do a quick little 2-3 miles tonight to loosen myself up before my two full days of rest. I need to take Dixie on one last training run since she’s stuck with me through all this madness. I took her to the vet this morning and she’s gained three pounds. Sooooo I should probably stop feeding her peanut butter filled Kongs after every run. Anyway, thanks again for all of your kind words and encouragement this week. You guys are seriously amazing and I feel so ready to tackle this half marathon!
Speaking of marathons…. One of my favorite blogging pals Hanna did something awesome and created a directory of sorts to get all of us marathon trainees connected: 2015 Fall Marathon Blog Roll. Anyone who wants to be included on the blog roll, just leave a comment here and let me know what races you are planning on doing this year. It’s such a good idea to all get connected and follow each other’s training, especially for first time marathoners like me 🙂
SPEAKING OF my first marathon, I saw this on Facebook this morning and I got SO excited. I can’t wait to do this race!!
