Dixie and I are very slowly easing back into running. Poor thing hasn’t had a good long run in over two weeks.
Good news is that I’m HOPEFUL that next week will be the week I can really return to running at the rate that this injury is healing. My “test runs” have almost gotten up to 1 mile, which is a vast improvement from the 100 yard runs I was doing about a week ago. I have been stopping as soon as I start to feel pain in my IT band so I don’t overdo it. My life consists of a lot of squats, clamshells, stretching and foam rolling. SO exciting!!!
I feel pretty boring since my training has basically come to a halt for the past two weeks, so I just want to leave you with this picture that Thomas sent me a few weeks ago:
