A Brief Hiatus… ADIOS!

As most of you already know, I’m getting married this weekend! The wedding is on Sunday and we are leaving Monday afternoon for our honeymoon in Mexico. I’m going to be taking a brief blogging hiatus but will be sure to fill you in on all of the details as soon as we get back!!

I’m hoping a little rest & relaxation in Mexico will help to heal this nagging IT band injury. It’s been about 4 weeks since I’ve been sidelined and I am just now starting to run again. I haven’t been able to get up to 2 miles without pain, so I know I still have a bit of recovery ahead. I keep thinking one day I’ll be able to walk out the door and do a 10 miler with no pain, but that’s just not how it works. I’ve been diligently cross & strength training, so I’m still hoping for the best.

For now I’ll be enjoying my wedding weekend & honeymoon and will worry about this stupid IT band when I get back! Who knows, maybe that magical 10 miler will happen in Mexico…

Congrats! As I was reading I thought “It’s going to be just her luck that she’ll do a long run on her honeymoon.” If it doesn’t happen that just means more time for margarita’s 🙂

Haha, I had a really long run scheduled for next week but I won’t be doing much of anything with this injury! And I’m okay with that. Maybe this was meant to happen so I don’t have to worry about mileage and I can get enjoy ALL the margaritas
