I’m Maddie. I’m 26 and living in North Carolina with my husband Thomas our redbone coonhound puppy daughter, Dixie. Dixie & I LOVE running. This blog is about our marathon training journey and a lot of other moments in between.
The first time I can remember running (on purpose, not while playing tag) was when I was about 11 years old doing laps in my middle school parking lot. I remember the P.E. teacher telling me I was fast… faster than some of the BOYS (there is no better feeling than being faster than boys).
I didn’t always love running, but I have learned to appreciate it and I know for a fact that it is something I absolutely cannot live without. I hope to share all of the good, bad and ugly moments that come with running, and hopefully you can find a way to love it like I do.
I also LOVE food. You cannot love running and not love food. So I hope to share with you the many ways that I fuel my body for running. Sometimes it’s donuts, sometimes it’s salad. Prepare to be surprised!
